Kelly Krapf - Legal Correspondent and Experienced Public Sector Leader

Kelly Krapf is an experienced legal practitioner, licensed in the State of Illinois, who serves as a legal correspondent for Court TV. In this role, she draws on her extensive background in law and journalism. A member of the Illinois Bar, Kelly Krapf has held roles in media, government agencies, and law firms.

Before joining Court TV, Ms. Krapf worked as an appellate attorney for the Illinois State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor’s Office, where she handled criminal and civil appeals. She also served as director of communications for Governor Pat Quinn, as well as chief executive officer of the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority. Her career has focused on areas including the practice of law, legal analysis, broadcasting, communications, and public sector management.

Ms. Krapf holds a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and political science from Indiana University and a juris doctor from the University of Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame, she was named to the dean’s honor roll and completed training in mediation, trial advocacy, negotiations, and deposition skills. In her free time, she enjoys ice skating, traveling, biking, volunteering in elementary education, and attending Notre Dame football games.
